Cord Chairs by Jacques Guillon, Canada, 1953. Designed by Jacques Guillon, born in Paris in 1922 and established himself in Montreal as a true multidisciplinarian, working in industrial design, interior design, graphic design, and architecture. The chairs are constructed of black lacquered wooden frames with tightly strung cord seat and back. Apart of permanent collections at the Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal and Quebec City, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
