Wink Lounge Chair by Toshiyuki Kita for Cassina, 1980
Wink Lounge Chair by Toshiyuki Kita for Cassina, 1980. Constructed of black leather, steel and polyurethane foam. Apart of the MOMA permanent collection. In his book “Movement as a Concept” Toshiyuki Kita first wrote about the Wink lounge chair “I have imagined a chair which would gently receive our changing moods at all times”. The chair was inspired by automotive seating and features six moveable joints. An adjustable knob to recline the backrest, two in the headrests, and one which can unfold the seat unto a full lounge close to the ground. This seating position was inspired by Kita’s Japanese roots and traditions of sitting.
Some marks and wear consistent with age and use, small marks on seat.
